New Delhi, March 1 (). South Africa will face Zimbabwe in the T20 World Cup 2026 on Sunday. This match between the two teams is to be played at the Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium in Delhi. This match will be held from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, while in view of the movement of spectators, special traffic arrangements will be in force from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Keeping in mind the security and convenience of the general public, the police administration has announced the implementation of traffic diversion and restrictions in the stadium and its surrounding areas.
As per requirement, traffic diversion will be done on Bahadurshah Zafar Marg and JLN Marg. There will be a ban on entry of heavy vehicles from Daryaganj to Bahadurshah Zafar Marg and from Guru Nanak Chowk to Asaf Ali Road. Spectators have been advised to avoid these roads during movement from 12:00 noon to 10:00 pm.
Meanwhile, passengers traveling to and from JLN Marg: (from Rajghat to Kamla Market Roundabout via Delhi Gate), Asaf Ali Road: (from Turkman Gate to Delhi Gate), Bahadurshah Zafar Marg: (from Delhi Gate to Ramcharan Agarwal Chowk), New Delhi Railway Station have been advised to plan their journey in advance keeping in mind the possible heavy traffic on Bahadurshah Zafar Marg and ITO Chowk.
The South African team has already secured the ticket for the semi-finals. The Proteas team has won both its first matches of the Super-8 round. In the first match, the team defeated India by 76 runs. Whereas, in the second match, South Africa defeated West Indies by 9 wickets.
On the other hand, Zimbabwe team is already out of the race for the semi-finals. In such a situation, the team will enter the field with the intention of ending the tournament with victory. Zimbabwe has not registered a win against South Africa in the T20 format till date.
