Yamuna Ghat ready for grand and safe Chhath Puja: Chief Minister Rekha Gupta

New Delhi, October 26 (). Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday assured the devotees of a memorable Chhath festival this year and claimed that extensive preparations have been made for the Purvanchal brothers and sisters at all the Yamuna ghats from Palla to Kalindi.

In a video message posted on the social media platform ‘X’, Chief Minister Gupta said, “Many congratulations and best wishes to all the brothers and sisters on the occasion of Chhath festival. This time, this festival of Chhath is going to be celebrated with great pomp in Delhi.

He further said in the video message that after years, our brothers and sisters will be able to worship the Sun on the banks of Yamuna and offer Arghya to the Sun. We have made a lot of preparations. Arrangements have been made for our brothers and sisters of Purvanchal at all the Chhath Ghats from Palla to Kalindi. Many best wishes to all of you. I pray to Chhathi Maiya that her blessings remain with all of us.

Earlier, Art and Culture Minister Kapil Mishra along with BJP Delhi President Virendra Sachdeva visited several Chhath Ghats across Delhi to review the arrangements and inspect the preparations.

He inspected the arrangements at Mayur Vihar Ghat, Ashok Nagar, Kondli and Trilokpuri. Later he visited Vasudev Ghat, where CM Gupta was also present.

Together they reviewed the status of cleanliness, lighting, security, tent installation, water level and traffic management. The minister also inspected many other ghats including Sonia Vihar.

Kapil Mishra said that this year there is extraordinary enthusiasm about Chhath Puja across Delhi.

He said that the Delhi government has ensured all necessary facilities at more than 1,300 Chhath Ghats this year. Officials from administration, municipal body, water board, police and sanitation department are continuously deployed at the ghats so that there is no inconvenience to the devotees.
