Dausa. Dausa District Cricket Association has geared up for the upcoming Under-19 cricket competition to be organized by Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA). This time, to make a place in the district team, the players will have to give strong proof not only with bat and ball but also of their super-fitness on the field. ‘Yo-Yo’ fitness test has been started by the District Cricket Association to check the physical ability of the players, which has increased the heartbeats of the young players. The association has given a clear warning that any player who fails to pass this stringent fitness test will be directly disqualified, no matter how good his previous record was. Preparation according to ODI format, camp will continue till Tuesday
District Cricket Association Secretary Brij Kishore Upadhyay said that the practice session of the players for the RCA Under-19 competition has been going on in full swing for a long time.
Practice matches and work on shortcomings: To make the selection process transparent and strong, separate teams of all the shortlisted players have been formed and practice matches are being conducted between them continuously.
Focus on ODI format: Immediately after these practice matches, a special ‘Yo-Yo’ fitness camp has been organized as per the international standards of ODI format to test the fatigue and recovery ability of the players. This rigorous fitness camp will continue till Tuesday.
Tightened system to improve performance of Dausa
This time the District Cricket Association seems to be in no mood for any kind of compromise regarding fitness. This time the entire focus of the association is on presenting the Dausa team as an aggressive and strong contender in the tournament.
