New Delhi/Jaipur This year’s Shravan Kumar Subhash Lakhotia Shravan Kumar Award will be given to Yogesh Bhavra of Bharatpur by Rajasthani Academy, New Delhi. This award is given to the son who serves his father selflessly in the memory of social worker Subhash Lakhotia. Under this award, one lakh rupees in cash, certificate and memento will be presented. President of Rajasthani Academy, Dr. Gaurav Gupta said that this year the ninth Subhash Lakhotia Award will be given in a program organized at Aiwan-e-Ghaliv Auditorium near ITO, New Delhi on Wednesday, October 29 in the morning. Secretary of the organization Suman Maheshwari said that on this occasion, 33rd Rajasthani Folk Song Competition program will be organized in which school students of National Capital Region (NCR) will participate and will also present the colors of Rajasthani dance. The winning artists of the thirteenth painting competition will also be given awards in the programme.
President of Rajasthan Academy Delhi, Dr. Gaurav Gupta and Secretary Suman Maheshwari said that Subhash Lakhotia Shravan Kumar Award is being given by Rajasthani Academy New Delhi for the last eight years and Rajasthani Folk Song Competition is also being organized for the last 32 years. This year, senior Rajasthan journalist Yogesh Bhavra, a native of Bayana town in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan, has been selected for the award. This award is given to the deserving sons and daughters who serve their parents like Shravan Kumar by giving them the status of Shravan Kumar. For this, the jury considers the applications received and selects the eligible candidates.
