Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is proving to be of great help to millions of farmers across the country. Under this scheme, farmers get financial assistance of Rs 6000 annually in three installments, which enables them to easily meet their farming needs like seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and other expenses. Now, the discussion has once again intensified regarding the 22nd installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Farmers are expecting good news at the beginning of the new year 2026. The previous, 21st installment was released on November 19, 2025, in which Rs 2000 was directly transferred into the bank accounts of more than 9 crore farmers across the country. Since then, farmers are eager to know the date of the next installment. Although the government has not yet announced any official date for the 22nd installment, but according to media reports, the government may release the next installment by the end of February 2026. If this happens, it will be a huge relief for the farmers. However, it is also very important to know which farmers will not get the 22nd installment so that they can take necessary reforms in time.
These farmers will not get the 22nd installment:
The government has already made it clear that if any farmer has not fulfilled the necessary conditions related to the scheme, then his installment can be stopped. Payment can be stopped for many reasons, such as:
1. Incomplete e-KYC: Farmers who have not yet completed their e-KYC will not get the benefit of the 22nd installment. The government has made e-KYC mandatory. If your e-KYC is incomplete, the next installment will not be credited to your account.
2. Bank account is not linked to Aadhaar: PM Kisan Yojana money is sent directly to the bank account through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). If your bank account is not linked to Aadhaar, or the DBT service is not activated, the money will not be transferred. 3. Mistakes in bank details – Sometimes farmers enter wrong account number, IFSC code, or bank name. In such cases, the installment gets stuck. Therefore, be sure to check your bank details on time. 4. Name not in the beneficiary list – If for some reason your name has been removed from the beneficiary list, then you will not get the installment. The reason for this could be some small mistake, not updating the documents, or any discrepancy in the information.
5. Farmers not registered in the registry – The government has now made registration of farmers mandatory. In future, only those farmers will get the benefit of PM Kisan Yojana whose name is registered in the farmer registry.
How to check your name and status
Farmers can check their name and status sitting at home by visiting pmkisan.gov.in website. They can also check their status in the Beneficiary Status section. They can also check their name in the beneficiary list and verify their bank and Aadhaar related information. Till the official date of 22nd installment is announced, all farmers should complete their e-KYC, check their bank account and Aadhaar linking, confirm their name in the beneficiary list, and ensure that they are registered in the Farmer Registry. This will ensure that as soon as the government releases the 22nd installment, ₹2000 will be directly credited to your account without any delay.
