Two Saturdays of the month are the holidays of banks. Today is Saturday 27 September. In such a situation, people may be confused whether the banks will remain closed today or not. According to RBI rules, banks are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. Now the question is whether today is the second or fourth Saturday of the month or not.

Bank holiday today

Today is the fourth Saturday of the month on 27 September. Therefore, all private and government banks of the country will remain closed today. Along with this, banks will remain closed due to Sunday on September 28. Sunday is a weekly holiday of banks.

Many people have a question in mind whether the banks will remain closed during Navratri or not. Let us tell you that bank holidays are kept on different days in different states for Navratri.

September 29- All banks in Agartala, Kolkata and Guwahati will remain closed on Mahasaptami.

September 30- This day is Maha Ashtami or Durga Ashtami. Due to this, banks will remain closed in cities like Bhubaneswar, Imphal, Guwahati, Agartala, Kolkata, Jaipur, Patna and Ranchi.

October 1- Mahanavami will be celebrated all over the country on this day. On this day, banks will remain closed in almost all cities of the country.

How to do bank work on holiday?

If you have to do any work related to the bank on holiday, then you can resort to online platforms. Today, you can handle many banking work through online platforms like apps and websites sitting at home. Apart from this, you can also use the bank’s call service. Many works can also be completed through call service. At the same time, today work like cash withdrawal can be done easily through ATMs.

However, for some tasks, especially in public sector banks, you have to go to the bank branch. Therefore, it is important that you must see the list of bank holidays once before going to the bank. Especially on Saturday, see the list of bank holidays.
