Relief news has emerged for government employees. After Railways and Bank employees, now the announcement/update of increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) of other central employees has come out. After this increase, DA has increased to the level of 60%. This decision will have a direct impact on the monthly income of lakhs of government employees and pensioners.
DA reaches 60%, net salary will increase
The direct benefit of increasing dearness allowance is added to the basic salary of the employees. As DA increases, the gross salary also increases in the same proportion.
For example:
If the basic salary of an employee is ₹ 50,000, then according to 60% DA, he will get additional ₹ 30,000 i.e. there will be a significant increase in the total salary.
Why is DA increased?
Dearness allowance is given to the employees to provide relief from the impact of rising inflation. When the prices of goods and services increase in the market, the government revises DA from time to time so that the purchasing power of the employees is maintained.
After railway and bank employees, now a bigger scope
Recently, railway and banking sector employees also got the benefit of increase in DA. Now after this new update, employees working in other departments of the Central Government will also get the benefit.
Relief to pensioners also
The benefit of DA increase is not only available to working employees but also to pensioners. This also increases their monthly pension, which provides financial relief to the elderly.
Effect will be visible from next month
According to sources, the effect of this increase will be visible in the salary of the coming month. Employees can also get the benefit of increased salary and arrears, which will increase the total payment significantly.
