Singrauli: In Madhya Pradesh, well-known companies working by flouting the rules have been punished. Defying the orders of the district administration in Singrauli district has cost the country’s biggest industrial house Adani Group and other renowned companies of the country. Singrauli Collector Gaurav Bainal has issued strict orders to register FIR against many renowned companies including Adani Enterprises and Adani Logistics for transporting coal during the restricted time by disregarding the rules. In order to maintain law and order and security in Singrauli district, a complete ban was imposed on the transportation of fly ash and coal by road from 6 am on May 23 to 12 noon on May 24 by Collector Gaurav Bainal.
Despite the administrative order, heavy vehicles laden with coal belonging to influential companies like Adani Enterprises, Adani Logistics, APMDC and THDC were found running indiscriminately on the roads of Sarai and Bargawan area even during the restricted period. The revelations made in the investigation surprised even the district administration. During the restricted time, four big coal vehicles of these companies had reached Majhauli railway siding of Bargawan tehsil via Sarai, Jhurhi and Ujjaini route.
According to the administration, these heavy vehicles carried out illegal transportation of coal for about 60 kilometers without any fear. Which was a direct disregard and violation of the orders of the District Collector.
After the matter came to light, the district administration had issued a ‘show cause notice’ to all the concerned transporters including Adani Group companies and sought their answers. But due to the sluggish attitude of the companies, Collector Gaurav Bainal has taken a tough stance and ordered to register a case against these companies under Section 223 of the Indian Justice Code 2023.
