Globally, spot gold is trading at $4,968.40 an ounce. The market’s focus is on the upcoming US retail inflation data. A slight reduction in geopolitical tension regarding US-Iran tension and Russia-Ukraine conflict has also reduced the demand for gold and silver as safe haven investments.

Silver also declined on the morning of 14 February. The price is ₹279,900 per kg. The spot price of silver in the international market is $77.30 per ounce. A day earlier, the price of silver in Delhi bullion market had fallen by ₹13,500 or 5.03 percent to ₹255,000 per kg. In January, the price of silver had crossed ₹ 4 lakh.
