The price of gold is continuously increasing. It has become more expensive. On the morning of 26 February, 24 carat gold reached ₹ 162,050 per 10 grams in the capital Delhi. In Mumbai this price reached ₹161,900 per 10 grams. A day ago, the price of gold in Delhi bullion market had increased by ₹ 1,000 i.e. about one percent to ₹ 1,64,200 per 10 grams. This increase in gold prices was due to strong global trend and continuous buying of safe-haven assets. The spot price of gold in the international market is $5,181.46 per ounce.

In January, the price of silver had crossed ₹ 4 lakh.
