On 21 April 2025, 24 carats (999 purity) gold in the physical market reached ₹ 1,00,116 per 10 grams (including 3% GST) for the first time. According to data on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 7 am, gold was trading at ₹ 97,352 per 10 grams and silver ₹ 97,275 per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX).
According to the Indian Bullion Association (IBA), 24 carat gold was ₹ 97,560/10 grams and 22 carat gold at ₹ 89,430/10 grams, while silver (999 fine) was ₹ 95,720/kg.
