From time to time, both the central and state governments launch various schemes to empower the youth. Under this initiative, Rajasthan Government has launched *Chief Minister’s Youth Self-Employment Scheme*. Under this scheme, it aims to provide loans to 30,000 youth, so that they can set up their own businesses.
What is this scheme?
This scheme is being implemented by the Industries and Commerce Department. The most special thing about this scheme is that it is completely interest-free; Beneficiaries do not have to pay any interest on the loan amount. The scheme was launched in January 2026 and will be effective till March 3, 2029. The main goal of the government is to ensure that 100,000 youth get employment opportunities in the coming years.
How much assistance is provided?
It is worth noting that under this scheme, a maximum loan of up to ₹10 lakh is provided. Additionally, the entire interest charged on the loan is borne by the government as a subsidy. It simply means that the beneficiary is not required to pay any kind of interest. Additionally, this loan also comes with insurance coverage and bank guarantee.
Who is eligible to get the benefit?
* **Essential condition:** The person must be a permanent resident of Rajasthan.
* **Age Limit:** Your age should be between 18 to 45 years.
* **Educational Qualification:** You must have passed at least 8th class.
* **Credit History:** You should not be a defaulter of any bank.
* **Type of Applicant:** Both individuals and organizations are eligible to apply.
For which activities can a loan be obtained?
It is important to understand that loans under this scheme are provided to businesses falling under manufacturing, service and trading sectors. In other words, you can apply for a loan to set up a retail shop, a startup, service-based business, or a small scale industry. **What is the loan amount?**
* **8th to 12th class pass:** ₹3.5 Lakh – ₹7.5 Lakh
* **Graduate/Diploma holders:** ₹5 Lakh – ₹10 Lakh

* To apply for this scheme, you have to log in to **Rajasthan SSO Portal**.
* After logging in, select the respective scheme option, and then proceed to fill the application form.
* Upload all the required documents and, finally, submit your application. These are the required documents:
