There is heavy selling in IT and auto stocks in today’s trading. There is pressure on the market due to the fall in IT stocks. The decline in IT stocks is also due to a new update to Anthropic’s “Cloud Code” tool. It is seen as a tool that can quickly and inexpensively modernize COBOL programs.
COBOL is a very old programming language, which is mainly used for data management and financial transactions in banks, government organizations and large businesses. Banking systems and ATMs around the world still depend heavily on this language.

Foreign investors bought shares worth ₹3,483 crore
Foreign investors (FIIs) bought shares worth ₹3,483 crore on February 23. Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) sold shares worth ₹1,292 crore.
So far this month, in February, FIIs have bought shares worth ₹1,472 crore. DIIs bought shares worth ₹12,818 crore. In January 2026, FIIs sold shares worth ₹41,435 crore. DIIs bought shares worth ₹69,220 crore.
Second day of Cleanmax Enviro Energy’s IPO
Today is the second day of the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of renewable energy company Cleanmax Enviro Energy Solutions. It was subscribed 34% on the first day. The company aims to raise ₹3,100 crore through this IPO. The company has launched both fresh shares and Offer for Sale (OFS) through this issue.
Yesterday, Sensex closed 480 points higher
The Sensex rose yesterday, Monday, February 23. It closed at 83,295, up 480 points (0.58%). Nifty also closed at 25,713, up 142 points (0.55%). Auto and bank stocks were among the top gainers in yesterday’s trading.
