Punjab National Bank (PNB) has decided to reduce the daily ATM cash withdrawal limit on its debit cards. According to the bank, the new rules will come into effect from April 1, 2026. This change will only affect certain debit card variants, while limits on other cards will remain the same. The bank said that this decision has been taken to increase customer security, reduce risk and promote digital banking. Under this, the daily cash withdrawal limit on some cards has been reduced by 50 percent.

Cards on which limit reduced from ₹100,000 to ₹50,000?

PNB has reduced the daily ATM cash withdrawal limit on many debit cards from ₹100,000 to ₹50,000. These include the cards mentioned below.

RuPay NCMC Platinum Domestic Debit Card

RuPay NCMC Platinum International Debit Card

RuPay Women Power Platinum Debit Card

RuPay PNB Palash Debit Card (Recycled PVC Debit Card)

RuPay Business Platinum NCMC Debit Card

Mastercard Platinum Debit Card

Visa Gold Debit Card

PNB Mastercard Platinum Rise

Cards whose limit has been reduced from ₹1.5 lakh to ₹75,000

Cash withdrawal limit on some premium debit cards has also been reduced. A maximum of ₹75,000 can now be withdrawn daily from RuPay Select Debit Card, PNB RuPay Select Neo Debit Card, PNB RuPay Select Excel Debit Card, Visa Signature Debit Card, and MasterCard Business Debit Card. Earlier, the limit on these cards was ₹1.5 lakh.

No change in other cards

PNB has clarified that there has been no change in the ATM cash withdrawal limit for debit cards not included in this list. This means that the limit for other cards will remain the same.

Customers can change the limit themselves

PNB customers can set or reset their ATM cash withdrawal limit within the prescribed limit. This can be done using Internet Banking, PNBOne Mobile App, IVR Service or WhatsApp Banking.

PoS and online transactions will not be affected

The bank has also clarified that the change in ATM withdrawal limit will not affect the limits of POS (Point of Sale), e-commerce or contactless payments. There will be no change in the limit of transactions through these channels.

How to change ATM limit

Customers can login to Internet Banking and select Debit Card Personalization option in the Value Added Services section. Then a new limit can be set by entering your card details. The new limit will be implemented after OTP verification.
