Petrol Diesel Price Today: This time Holi is falling for two days. In some parts of the country, Holi will be celebrated on March 18 and in some places on March 19, but even though there has been a change in the date of playing Holi, there has been no change in the rate of petrol and diesel even on the 132nd day. That means Friday is a relief. That too when it has been 10 days since the elections ended. There is a sharp fluctuation in the price of crude oil and in anticipation of increase in the price of petrol and diesel, people not only filled the tanks of their vehicles, but also stored them in gallons. Now they have to be disappointed.
Petroleum companies have released the rates of petrol and diesel. In the country’s capital Delhi, the price of one liter of petrol remains Rs 95.41 (Delhi Petrol Price), while the price of diesel is Rs 86.67 (Delhi Diesel Price). At the same time, petrol is being sold in Mumbai at the rate of Rs 109.98 per liter, while diesel is being sold at Rs 94.14.

Nine states did not reduce VAT on petrol and diesel
Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has told the Parliament that nine states including Maharashtra and Kerala have not reduced VAT on petrol and diesel. Reduction in VAT would have helped in reducing oil prices. He also said that fuel prices have increased by more than 50% in many countries during the pandemic, but only by five per cent in India. He feared that a jump in crude oil prices would further push inflation in the coming months.
