The last month of the year, December, has started, and with it many big changes have also taken place (Rule Changes From 1st December). These will affect everyone from LPG users and banking services to railways and air passengers. While oil market companies have given both relief and shocks from December 1, 2025, the country’s largest public sector bank SBI has stopped one of its services (SBI mCASH). The month of December is important for some works, because their deadlines are about to end in this month.
SBI stopped mCASH service from today
The country’s largest bank SBI has also closed its mCASH service (SBI mCASH Service Close) by implementing some changes from December 1. SBI customers using this service will no longer be able to claim payment through mCASH link. The bank has also informed its customers about this and advised them to use secure options like UPI, IMPS, NEFT and RTGS. SBI mCash was an instant money transfer service from State Bank of India, through which money could be sent to the mobile number without entering the account number or IFSC code.
LPG price cut
LPG customers got relief on 1st December as oil marketing companies reduced their prices from 1st December (December 1st LPG Price Cut). However, this time also the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has been reduced. Prices in Delhi and Kolkata have dropped by ₹10, while in Chennai and Mumbai the prices have dropped by ₹11 per cylinder.
Air travel may become more expensive
On the first of every month, oil marketing companies not only update the prices of LPG cylinders, but also revise the prices of Air Turbine Fuel (ATF) and release new rates. This is where the companies have got a shock, the prices of ATF have been increased.
If we look at the new rates implemented from December 1, 2025, the rate in Delhi has increased from ₹ 94,543.02 per kiloliter to ₹ 99,676.77, in Mumbai it has increased from ₹ 88,444.87 per kiloliter to ₹ 93,281.04, in Chennai it has increased from ₹ 98,089.68 per kiloliter to ₹ 103,301.80. This has happened, and has increased from ₹97,549.18 per kiloliter to ₹102,371.02 in Kolkata. Increase in ATF prices may increase the cost of air travel.
bank holidays in december
If you have to do any banking work in December, then check the RBI bank holiday list before leaving home, lest you reach the branch and find it locked. In fact, banks will remain closed for a total of 17 days in December 2025. These holidays include the second and fourth Saturdays, as well as weekly holidays falling on Sundays. You can see the updated list of holidays on the RBI website.
