The country’s leading airline IndiGo is currently facing a big crisis. More than 200 flights have been canceled in the last two days, due to which there is a lot of anger among the passengers. IndiGo CEO Peter Elbers issued a statement saying, “We have not been able to live up to our promises over the past few days, and for this we publicly apologize.” According to a media report, more than 1,400 IndiGo flights have been canceled in the last 30 days.
The CEO further added, “The past few days have been difficult for many of our IndiGo customers and colleagues. We serve approximately 380,000 customers daily and want every customer to have a great experience. The past few days have also presented many operational challenges, including minor technical glitches, schedule changes, inclement weather, increased congestion in the aviation system and the recently implemented new FDTL (Flight Duty Time Limitation) rules.” The combined effect of all these has had a negative impact on our operations, causing many problems.”
