Investors and traders will have one less trading day next week. Due to national holiday, there will be no activity in the stock market at the beginning of the week. The stock market will remain closed on Monday, January 26 on the occasion of Republic Day. There will be no transactions on this day. Trading will also remain closed in the commodity market. There will be no trading on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) in either morning or evening sessions. Let us know on which occasions the stock market will remain closed this year…

Stock market closed on Monday

It has been decided to keep the stock market closed on Monday, January 26, on the occasion of Republic Day. There will be no trading on both BSE and NSE on this day. Following the Monday holiday, normal trading will resume on Tuesday, January 27.

According to the NSE calendar, the stock market will remain closed on several occasions between January and December. The market will remain closed for Holi on March 3. After this, there will be no trading for Shri Ram Navami on March 26 and Shri Mahavir Jayanti on March 31. The market will be closed for Good Friday on 3 April. Trading will also remain closed for Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti on 14th April, Maharashtra Day on 1st May and Eid al-Adha on 28th May. Additionally, there will be no trading on NSE for Muharram on June 26.

Holidays in the second half of the year

Even in the second half of the year, the stock market will remain closed on the occasions of many festivals. There will be no trading for Ganesh Chaturthi on 14th September, Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October, Dussehra on 20th October and Diwali Balipratipada on 10th November. After this, the market will remain closed for Prakash Parv on 24th November, the birth anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The last holiday of the year will be for Christmas on 25th December. Apart from all these holidays, the stock market is regularly closed every Saturday and Sunday.
