EPFO 3.0 can be called the new generation of PF system. Till now the structure of EPFO has been based on old software and scattered databases. Due to which delay in claim, transfer and correction was common. The entire technology will change in the new version, EPFO’s system will become like the banking system. This means a centralized platform, real-time processing and a consistent experience no matter which city in the country you are in. Now EPFO has to create smart digital service.
PF withdrawal will have to be done fast
Right now the biggest problem in PF claim is time and objection. AI based auto processing is being introduced in the new system. This means that the machine will itself check the claims for withdrawing advance on reasons like illness, studies or marriage. If done correctly, money can be released in 24 to 48 hours. If human interference is reduced then unnecessary restrictions and rejections will also be reduced. The user will not need to upload documents again and again or go to the office. The work which currently takes two weeks can be done in two days.
Passbook information on new portal
The portal is being completely redesigned with EPFO 3.0. There are a lot of problems with OTP, login and load on the existing site. The new portal will be mobile friendly and will run faster. It will be clearly visible where the claim is pending and at what stage. Now the interest is added at the end of the year and it is known only then. In the new system, interest updates will also be visible in real time. This will give the user better control over his money and it will be easier to spot any mistake quickly.
PF withdrawal from UPI and what will be the direct benefit to the employees
The most talked about feature of EPFO 3.0 is the preparation to withdraw PF through UPI. Like you withdraw money from the bank through PhonePe, Google Pay or Paytm. Similarly, you will be able to withdraw money from PF account also. For this you will have to link your UPI ID to PF account. In case of emergency, there will be no need to visit the bank or office. Money will be credited to your account in a few clicks. With this, the process of taking small claims and advances will become very easy. According to officials, work on this platform has been going on for a long time. After technical testing, it will soon be implemented across the country.
