There are many questions in the minds of students appearing for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) exams, especially class 10th students who will have to give two exams in 2026. Parents are also worried about how these two board exams will be conducted and what will happen in them. In this regard, CBSE is organizing a webinar on the two-board exam system, in which everything about the process will be explained and any confusion will be cleared. The initiative of two-board exams has been made necessary under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Where can I watch the webinar?
The Board has announced that a webinar will be organized across the country on November 20, 2025. Lakhs of students appearing for board exams and their parents can participate in it. This will help them fully understand the two-board exam system and get answers to many of their questions. This webinar will be livestreamed at 10 am on the official YouTube channel of CBSE Board, @cbsehq1905.

chance to improve marks
CBSE had announced in June 2025 that from the next session, students will be allowed to take two board exams. This will give students a chance to improve their scores without waiting for a full year. This means that if their scores are low in the first exam, they can improve their marks in the second exam by preparing well. However, the second exam is completely optional, that is, if students do not want to give it, they can skip it.

When will both the exams be held?
According to the datesheet released by CBSE, the class 10 board exams will start from February 17, 2026 and will continue till March 10. This will be the first and important exam which the students will have to give. After this, students who are not happy with their results will be given a chance to appear in the second board exam in May. The original marksheet will be prepared on the basis of higher score in both the exams. Students can choose maximum three subjects for the second exam.
