Strict security arrangements have been made for the re-examination of NEET-UG 2026. After the paper leak controversy, the Education Ministry and the National Testing Agency (NTA) are keeping a strict vigil at every level to maintain the confidentiality of the examination. Experts, translators and other staff involved in preparing the question papers have been sent to secure and secret places. This arrangement will remain in force till the end of the examination on June 21. Use of mobile phones, internet and other digital devices has been banned. To ensure that the re-examination to be held on June 21 is fair and transparent and there is no scope for any irregularities, multi-layered security arrangements have been put in place.

**Strict restrictions on external contact**

According to a report in *The Times of India*, the employees associated with the examination are prohibited from using mobile phones, laptops, smartwatches and other communication devices. There has also been a strict ban on internet and conversations with outsiders. Records of every person visiting the premises are being maintained and only authorized employees are allowed inside.

**Surveillance increased after paper leak controversy**

The NEET-UG exam held in May had to be canceled due to the paper leak controversy, which had spread anxiety among over 22 lakh candidates across the country. Keeping this in mind, this time the security arrangements have been significantly strengthened to maintain the credibility of the examination.

**Strict monitoring at every stage**

According to officials, processes like question paper preparation, translation, printing, packaging, storage, transport and distribution have been separated. This ensures that no single person or group has access to information related to the entire process.

**Air Force support and digital surveillance**

The use of Indian Air Force aircraft to safely transport the question papers is also being considered. Also, social media platforms, messaging apps and online forums are being monitored round the clock to immediately identify fake question papers, rumors or suspicious activities. The Education Minister has issued special instructions. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has directed the officials to remove every deficiency found in the previous examination. Their aim is to ensure that the re-examination to be held on June 21 is completely fair, safe and transparent.
