TVK Chief Vijay Thalapathy is going to take oath as CM in Tamil Nadu today. But it was not so easy for Thalapathy to get the majority figure. Now DMK has claimed that it has convinced its allies to support TVK.
Almost 5 days after the results of Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, the situation of government formation has now become clear. Today i.e. on May 10, TVK Chief Vijay Thalapati will take oath as the Chief Minister. But it was not that easy. Vijay’s party could not get majority in the election results. Many equations were being made for this, but in the end Vijay’s TVK got the support of more than 118 MLAs and now they are going to form the government. DMK has claimed that MK Stalin also helped Vijay in getting the majority figure.
‘Stalin convinced allies to support’
Amidst today’s possibilities of forming government in Tamil Nadu, DMK has made a big claim. DMK claims that DMK convinced its allies to support TVK. DMK said that Stalin did this because he did not want any kind of constitutional crisis in the state. DMK said that after much deliberation, Stalin convinced his allies to support TVK.

On the issue of supporting Vijay, DMK leader A. Saravanan told that actor-turned-politician Vijay will be made the CM of Tamil Nadu. Saravanan said the decision was taken after DMK chief MK Stalin persuaded his allies to support TVK. Saravanan said that congratulations to the CM of Tamil Nadu. He could become Chief Minister with the help of DMK’s allies. Saravanan claimed that Stalin did not want a constitutional crisis in Tamil Nadu, so he convinced the allies to support the TVK after careful deliberations.
DMK targets Congress for supporting TVK. DMK said that Congress was the first to leave the India alliance and come in support of TVK. During this, Saravanan said that Congress got 5 seats in Tamil Nadu only because the workers of DMK and Stalin had worked hard on the land of Tamil Nadu.
Let us tell you that the election results of Tamil Nadu were declared on 4th May. In these elections, TVK emerged as the largest party with 108 seats. After TVK, AIADMK and DMK stood third. When no party got majority in the Tamil Nadu elections, the biggest question that came up was who would become the Chief Minister of the state. TVK started struggling to form the government. During this period, Congress first left DMK and supported TVK. However, even after the support of Congress, TVK was not able to reach the magic figure of majority. Now it was the turn of left parties and VCK. Later all of them also supported TVK and Vijay Thalapathy’s party got the support of 120 MLAs. Now he is going to take oath as Chief Minister.
