During the launch of Heropanti 2 song Dafa Kar, Tiger Shroff was questioned about the film The Kashmir Files. To this Tiger said, ‘It’s amazing, it proves that people are going to theaters to watch the film. If I get a little greedy, then my film Heropanti 2 is a theater film. So I am very happy that people are coming to the cinema. It’s a good feeling and a good time for the industry. It is like rebirth.
What did Ajay Devgan say?
At the trailer launch of Runway 34, Ajay Devgn was asked about the secret of the success of The Kashmir Files. He was directly asked whether nowadays only stories based on true events can bring the audience to the theatre? On this question, Ajay Devgan had said, ‘No, it is not like this, it is not only in India.. It is in the whole world. Like I have done films before… The Legend of Bhagat Singh, some stories are so inspirational and sometimes the truth is so amazing that you can’t write fiction like that. Ajay Devgan further said, ‘The idea is not to find a true incident… when you hear it, you feel that this very extraordinary thing happened and its truth should be exposed to the world. That’s why we took it (Runway 34), otherwise we write and make up the stories ourselves.

Akshay Kumar recently attended an event in Bhopal. In the program, Akshay said, ‘Films are not just a means of entertainment. They are also a medium to convey social message and tell the truth. The script of The Kashmir Files has shocked everyone. Film makers should also work on such films which will be helpful in nation building. This one film came as a wave, it is another matter that my picture was also drowned. That film is Toofan and we have become its victims.
The Kashmir Files in the 200 crore club
The small budget film has so far collected a total of 211.83 crores at the domestic box office. The Kashmir Files director Vivek Agnihotri claimed that till now many films have been made on the issue of Kashmir, but none have shown the reality. Rather, through those films, an attempt was made to strengthen the side of the terrorists. Now the times are changing and work is being done to take forward the discourse of India through films.
