It is a yoga asana which strengthens the knees and hips as well as reduces stomach tension and is especially beneficial in women’s health and pregnancy. Let’s include it in our daily routine, but keep in mind that patients with arthritis and sciatica should avoid practicing it.”
The video message shared with the post said that Bhadrasana is also called ‘The Obscure Pose’ in English. This asana provides stability and strength to both body and mind. Regular exercise strengthens the bones of knees and hips and can also provide relief from knee pain.
It was also told in the video that Bhadrasana is helpful in removing any kind of tension in the stomach. It is also considered beneficial in providing relief to women from stomach ache and other discomforts during menstruation. Apart from this, this asana has also been said to be useful for pregnant women.

Earlier, in another post, the Ministry of AYUSH gave information about the importance of yoga and benefits of Tadasana. “Yoga is not about doing difficult asanas. It is about easy and effortless movements that keep our body flexible. As we age, these yoga asanas should be a part of our everyday life. Tadasana or Mountain Pose is one of the most important beginner asanas of yoga. It gives a gentle stretch to the entire body and improves the body posture,” the ministry said in the post.
