New Delhi, November 2 (IANS). Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva on Sunday launched a verbal attack on the previous Arvind Kejriwal government of Delhi. He said that big scams had taken place in the name of Aam Aadmi Mohalla Clinics. Also, he accused Kejriwal’s party of spreading lies by hiding the real reason for the closure of these clinics in recent months.
He said that the Mohalla clinics of the Kejriwal government, which were opened either in porta cabins on the roadside or in rooms rented at exorbitant rates from AAP volunteers, functioned only as half-day OPD centres, which the Kejriwal government made a means of corruption.
Sachdeva said that most of these clinics did not even have doctors. These were run by compounders and did not have any diagnostic facilities.
The Delhi BJP President said that the people of Delhi have seen time and again how these mohalla clinics have become centers of fraud. This includes registering multiple patients from the same phone number and embezzling money in the name of fake diagnostic tests.
He said that most of the staff appointed in these clinics were not even trained for healthcare services. Their appointments were not made through any administrative process and almost all of them were associated with the Aam Aadmi Party.
He said that during the pandemic, when the people of Delhi most needed medical treatment and doctors at the local level, Kejriwal closed these mohalla clinics. The people of Delhi can clearly see the disappointment and hypocrisy visible in the statements of Arvind Kejriwal and Saurabh Bhardwaj, who have been spreading lies about the closure of these clinics for the last few months.
Sachdeva said that by removing these centers of corruption created by Kejriwal, Rekha Gupta’s government is now opening Ayushman Arogya Mandirs at government places, which are fully equipped with basic medical testing facilities, doctors and paramedical staff, due to which the healthcare system of Delhi is really getting strengthened and people are getting the right services.
Let us tell you that recently Saurabh Bhardwaj had said that the BJP government has ordered to close 170 more mohalla clinics in the city. Also, he had claimed that this decision has dealt a huge blow to the healthcare network of the capital.
