New Delhi, October 11 (IANS). Nowadays, lifestyle and eating habits have made the human body suffer from many diseases. Old age diseases have started occurring at a young age.
According to a report of the World Health Organization, today 30 percent of the youth of the country are suffering from the problem of high blood pressure. Some people do not consider high blood pressure as a disease and some people are not even aware of how it hollows the body from inside like a “silent killer”.
In Ayurveda, high blood pressure is considered to be an imbalance of Vata dosha. When Vata Dosha starts increasing in the body, the problem of high blood pressure gradually starts developing. It shows symptoms like restlessness, nervousness, and headache, but do not ignore these symptoms at all, because they affect the entire body. High blood pressure can lead to brain hemorrhage, kidney failure, loss of eyesight, continuous bleeding from the nose and even heart attack. In such a situation, it is very important for the blood pressure to be normal.
Many measures have been suggested in Ayurveda to control high blood pressure, by following which it can be controlled to a great extent. Bottle gourd and basil juice controls this condition. Mixing half a cup of bottle gourd juice and five basil leaves in it should be consumed on an empty stomach in the morning. Its consumption controls Kapha and Vata dosha and gives coolness to both the heart and stomach.
Sarpagandha root is beneficial in high blood pressure. For this, soak the root of Sarpagandha overnight and boil it and drink it in the morning. If you want, you can also use powder available in the market. It controls the speed of increase of high blood pressure. Consuming Amla and honey will also be beneficial. Both of these increase the body’s immunity against diseases. One spoon of Amla powder should be eaten with honey every morning. This will work to heal your heart.
Apart from this, purification process can also be done, which will help in removing the dirt from the entire body and will protect from many diseases. Avoid taking too much stress in case of high blood pressure. Also do not consume cigarettes, alcohol and caffeine. It is also important to have adequate sleep.
