Bones are an important part of our body, which supports our entire structure. These bones provide shape, structure and support. Apart from this, they also protect our internal organs. Therefore, we should take bone health seriously. In our daily life, we do many things and eat foods that weaken our bones. Here, we are telling about these food items and the mistakes caused by them.

1. It is not good to eat too much salt
Salt is necessary for the body, but only in a certain quantity. A healthy person should not eat more than 5 grams (one teaspoon) of salt per day. The more salt you eat, the more calcium is removed from your body. Due to this, there is not enough calcium left in your bones, due to which they become weak. This problem further increases when apart from salt in food, we also consume salt from outside food items like snacks, biscuits and chips, which leads to excessive salt intake and causes harm. Therefore, you should limit your salt intake.

2. Sugar is also harmful for bones

According to a report by the American medical agency, Cleveland Clinic, sugar-rich foods increase inflammation and insulin. If insulin levels rise too high, it can cause low blood pressure (hypoglycemia). These foods also deplete nutrients like calcium and magnesium from the body, leading to bone loss. Therefore, avoid sugar and sweetened beverages.

3. Cold drinks
Excessive consumption of cold drinks can also harm your bones. Although more research is needed, some studies have found that they contain sugar, caffeine, and other ingredients that deplete calcium from bones.

4. Sedentary lifestyle is also harmful
It’s okay to watch your favorite show. But spending hours on the sofa in front of the screen is not good. When you get used to resting, you don’t move as much as needed, which causes your bones to become weak. Exercise and physical activity make them stronger. Therefore, do some physical activity every day.
