New Delhi, 11 September (IANS). The viral research and diagnostic conclave was organized in Delhi on Thursday. It included representatives of the viral research and diagnostic laboratory (VRDL) network across the country.
Speaking to reporters, Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Anupriya Patel said, “164 VRDL representatives participated in the conclave.
The purpose of this conclave is to discuss the progress on the identification and diagnosis of new bacteria, viruses and pathogen. Through this platform we discussed infectious diseases, emerging viruses and bacteria, their identity and diagnosis. “
Anupriya Patel said, “We are strengthening our country’s future and health security. We are working on health preparations. We are also focusing on future health protection and strengthening our health preparations.”
He informed that a new portal was also launched. This portal will bring transparency and the industry will be friendly. Those who are making new diagnostic kits can easily send their applications on this portal and track its progress.
Anupriya Patel said that public health is a matter of state governments and diseases like dengue and malaria are spread in this season. Therefore, through this advisory, the state governments have been told about all the preventive measures they should adopt.
He said that the state governments are strictly following these guidelines so that people can be protected from these diseases. Assistance is provided to the state government by the central government. It is the priority of the government to keep the public safe.
Along with this, Union Health Minister JP Nadda reviewed the current status of dengue and malaria. He insisted on intensifying the preventive measures being taken by the states. In this regard, the Government of India has issued an advisory to the states.
