New Delhi, February 6 (IANS). White discharge (leucorrhoea) is a common problem in women, but it is often ignored. This is not only a white or yellow discharge, but sometimes it may also be accompanied by burning sensation, itching, bad smell or mild pain in the back and stomach. If it is not understood in time, it can increase problems in the future.
First of all it is important that you take care of your body and cleanliness. Clean with lukewarm water daily and stay hydrated from within. Avoid sexual intercourse during menstruation at the time of discharge and if the husband also has any itching or infection, it is important to consult a doctor.
The easiest among home remedies is to use Neem. Neem leaves can be boiled and its water can be used for cleaning the vaginal area. Apart from this, eating Amla powder with 3-5 grams of honey daily is also beneficial. Mango seed powder or wood apple flower paste is also helpful in providing relief. If there is discharge along with back pain, then light massage with cumin, celery and sesame oil will be beneficial.
Yoga and exercise are also very useful. Especially Dhanurasana and Bhujangasana not only strengthen the waist but also provide relief from the pain caused by it. Along with this, it is also important to drink plenty of water, maintain cleanliness and not wear tight clothes. Use protection while having physical relations and pay attention to hygiene.
Don’t take white discharge lightly. This is a signal from the body that there is infection or imbalance somewhere. The measures mentioned above provide relief to a great extent, but if the discharge is excessive, smells bad or pain increases, consult a doctor immediately.
