New Delhi, February 1 (IANS). The fatigue of working all day burdens both the body and mind. It seems that there is lack of energy in the body.
This is because the tiredness of the day does not just stay in the body, it also affects the mind. Don’t understand what to do, whether to take medicine or not, mind gets distracted. This phenomenon shows fatigue of mind and body, the cure for which is hidden in a remedy of Ayurveda. In Ayurveda, foot bath i.e. the process of keeping the feet in lukewarm salt water helps in calming the mind and body.
In Ayurveda, foot bath (keeping the feet in lukewarm salt water) is considered a simple evening practice, which reduces the heaviness of the body and gives direction to the mind to relax. This reduces stress in the body and mind and the whole body feels relaxed. For this, sit quietly in lukewarm water mixed with rock or sea salt for 10-15 minutes and concentrate only on breathing. This is a gentle “body detox” practice that provides stabilization to the nervous system.
By taking foot bath the body becomes light and the mind automatically starts becoming calm. It also provides relief from mild pain and fatigue in the body. There is flow of energy in the body and sleep is also very good. After foot bath, the body becomes less burdened and the mind also feels relaxed. Salt is used in foot bath, which is not just limited to taste but it also helps in reducing the heaviness of the body and balancing the body. Salt helps in balancing the restlessness of the mind, which together with water calms the nervous system of nerves.
Foot bath has been considered like a miracle in Ayurveda. If you feel weak and heavy in the evening every day, this kriya will help in balancing the body. It would be right to make it a part of daily life. Foot bath also increases the concentration of the mind. Today’s work is a major cause of fatigue of the body as well as the mind. With the help of foot bath, stress can be reduced and the brain can be relaxed. It increases the production of happy hormones in the body.
