Even expensive cosmetic products sometimes cause harm to the skin instead of benefiting it. Raw milk is not only a nutritious drink but also helps in cleansing the skin, maintaining moisture and natural glow. When used regularly and properly, it can be helpful in keeping the skin soft, fresh and youthful.
Lactic acid and proteins present in milk help in removing dirt and dead cells from the skin. If dust and pollution accumulates on the face throughout the day, then just a light massage with milk can remove this dirt. In Ayurveda, it is considered to maintain skin moisture. Just taking one spoon of milk in hands and massaging the face with light hands every day refreshes the skin from within.
Apart from this, milk acts as a natural moisturizer. Many women are troubled by dry and lifeless skin. In such a situation, by lightly massaging with milk, the skin remains moist and the spots and blemishes gradually start reducing. According to science, Vitamin B and minerals present in milk nourish the skin cells and keep them healthy. This gives natural glow to the skin.
If you have pimples or acne on your face, then by lightly massaging with milk daily, the difference will be visible in a few days. In Ayurveda, it is considered a remedy for purification and balancing vata-kapha, which reduces skin problems from their roots. Milk also has anti-bacterial properties, which help prevent skin infections and keep the pores clean.
If people with dry skin massage their face with milk for 15 minutes, it eliminates dryness. In Ayurveda, it is said to cool and nourish the skin. This makes the skin soft and supple.
