New Delhi, November 12 (IANS). It is not necessary to resort to medicines for every physical problem. There are many medicines in Ayurveda, which are helpful in fighting serious diseases like cancer.
According to the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, Giloy is a herb that balances the three main doshas of the body – Vata, Pitta and Kapha. It is considered very important in Ayurveda. Giloy is also called Guduchi or Amrita. It is a creeper whose stem and leaves are used as medicine.
Antioxidants are found in abundance in Giloy. These protect body cells from damage and increase immunity. Apart from this, Giloy has anti-inflammatory properties, that is, it reduces swelling. The most important thing is that it also has anti-cancer properties, which can help in fighting serious diseases like cancer.
Giloy provides relief from many common diseases. In case of fever, consumption of Giloy can provide quick relief. In jaundice it is helpful in strengthening the liver. It is very beneficial in arthritis pain and joint swelling. Giloy is also beneficial for diabetic patients. It is helpful in controlling blood sugar. It improves the digestive system in stomach problems like constipation, acidity and indigestion. Giloy also provides relief in urinary problems like burning or infection.
According to Ayurveda, imbalance of Vata, Pitta and Kapha in the body is the main cause of diseases. Giloy balances these three doshas. It controls restlessness caused by Vata dosha, burning sensation caused by bile and heaviness caused by phlegm. This keeps the body healthy and energetic.
Giloy is easy to use. You can drink its decoction, take it in powder form or tablets are also available. But like any medicine, it should be taken after consulting a doctor or Ayurveda expert.
