New Delhi, December 7 (IANS). In Ayurveda, the tradition of diagnosing diseases with the help of herbs has been going on for centuries, but our nature has also given us some minerals which act as lifesaving herbs for health.
One such mineral is Suhaga. Like its name, Suhaga works like a tonic full of natural properties, which helps in reducing pain from stomach to joints. However, before using it, one should know its methods of use.
In Ayurveda, Suhaga is considered a medicine and has been used in many diseases. It contains antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, and anti-bacterial properties, which are helpful in curing diseases. This is called Tankan Bhasma in Ayurveda, Borax in English, and scientific name is Sodium Tetraborate. Sodium tetraborate is also used in making toothpaste, but it has many medicinal benefits.
In Ayurveda, Suhaaga is used to get relief from cold and headache. For this, put turmeric and borax powder on the pan and heat it on low flame. Taking its steam provides relief from cold and headache and also provides relief to people who have sinus problems.
If fever is troubling you again and again, then boiling some sugar in milk and giving it will provide relief. This helps in reducing fever quickly, but before using it, please consult a doctor. Additionally, if mouth ulcers are bothering you, mix suhaga in lukewarm water and gargle with it. Doing this will provide relief from mouth ulcers and will also remove bad smell.
Suhaga is also used to soothe swelling and redness of the eyes. It is considered very good for the eyes. Apart from this, if dandruff in the hair and acne, pimples and infections on the skin are bothering you, then applying suhaga powder mixed with coconut oil on the hair reduces dandruff and strengthens the hair from the roots. Using it on the skin will also be beneficial and the skin will start glowing.
Consumption of Suhaga is also beneficial in menstrual problems or urinary infections in women. It helps in reducing diseases related to the uterus.
