New Delhi, November 12 (IANS). Honey is not only used in various cultures, but it has also been appreciated for its medicinal properties.
Honey is considered “golden nectar”, which is helpful in keeping both mind and body healthy. Honey is called “Tridoshahar” in Ayurveda because it helps in balancing Vata, Kapha and Pitta. It is used in many diseases and early stage diseases.
In Ayurveda, honey is called Madhu, which can enhance the properties of anything and make it effective. It helps in reducing diseases as well as increasing the body’s immunity. It has antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties and provides relief from cough, fever, throat diseases, reducing obesity, skin diseases and digestive diseases, although the correct way to use it should also be known.
If the glow of the face has faded and there are dark spots on the face, then applying honey mixture will provide relief. For this, mix some turmeric and lemon juice and apply it on the face. Do this three times a week. Gradually the glow of the face will return. If you have trouble sleeping or wake up at night, then taking lukewarm milk mixed with one spoon of honey calms the brain and helps in good sleep.
Apart from this, to avoid obesity, taking honey and lemon mixed with lukewarm water in the morning on an empty stomach reduces belly fat. By doing this the digestive power increases and the toxic substances present in the body are removed. Consuming honey is also beneficial in winter or during changing seasons. For this, honey should be taken with ginger and black pepper. Taking it at least three times a day will provide relief. This recipe works equally on children also.
The method of taking honey is very important, but at the same time it is also important to know with what things honey should not be taken. Honey should never be taken by mixing it with hot milk. The milk should be lukewarm. Secondly, honey should never be consumed after heating it. This increases the growth of ‘mango’ in the body.
