Is your plate itself taking away your strength? Keep distance from these things from today

New Delhi, April 1 (IANS). What we eat makes or breaks our strength, energy and health. But many times such things are included in our plate, which are gradually reducing our strength. Therefore, it is very important to understand which things are harming us and which should be avoided.

Nowadays, the trend of eating packaged snacks, instant noodles and ready-to-eat food available in the market has increased a lot. They certainly taste delicious, but they contain very little nutrition and harmful ingredients like preservatives and excess salt. Their regular consumption can make the body weak.

The second big problem is excessive sugar consumption. Sweet things like sweets, cakes, pastries and cold drinks give us instant energy, but this energy does not last long. After this, the body starts feeling tired and lethargic. Consuming too much sugar over a long period of time increases the risk of obesity, diabetes and other diseases.

Similarly, things made from refined flour are also harmful for our health. White bread, biscuits and pastries lack fiber, due to which the digestive system becomes weak and the body does not get the necessary nutrients. Apart from this, fried and junk food, which contains high amount of trans fat, can prove to be harmful for both heart and body.

Consuming too much salt is also not good for health. This can increase blood pressure and cause problem of water retention in the body.

Therefore, it is important to increase balance and nutrition in your plate. Include fresh vegetables, fruits, pulses, whole grains and home-cooked food in your diet. These not only give strength to the body, but also protect from diseases. Apart from this, if you want to eat something quickly, then you can choose healthy options like roasted gram, home made poha or upma. It is also very important to drink enough water and eat meals at regular times.
