New Delhi, March 31 (IANS). As soon as the summer season starts, health related problems start increasing. Going out of the house on an empty stomach in this season can be quite dangerous. Due to strong sunlight, sweat and dehydration, problems like dizziness, fainting, vomiting or weakness can occur, hence it is very important to take some important precautions in summer.
According to the National Health Mission, body temperature increases rapidly in summer. Going out on an empty stomach can cause blood sugar levels to drop, increasing the risk of fatigue, dizziness and fainting. Also, overly oily and heavy food puts a burden on the digestive system and overheats the body. In such a situation, health experts recommend adopting some easy measures in summer.
Health Mission says that the best solution is to keep yourself safe in summer. By adopting small precautions, we can avoid diseases caused by heat. Take special care of elders, children and sick people in the family. To stay healthy, it is advised to eat a simple and balanced diet, drink plenty of water and avoid sunlight in summer.
Do not go out on an empty stomach: Have some light breakfast before leaving the house. Eating fruits, curd, buttermilk or nuts is beneficial.
Drink enough water: Drink 3-4 liters of water throughout the day. It is also good to take lemon water, coconut water, buttermilk or ORS solution.
Avoid oily food: Reduce oily, spicy, fast food and heavy food. Eat light, digestible and fresh food.
Wear loose and light clothes: Wear cotton, light colored and loose clothes that allow air to pass through.
Do not go out between 12 noon and 4 pm: the sun is at its strongest at this time. If necessary, use an umbrella or hat.
Apart from this, if you notice symptoms like high fever, vomiting, nausea, fainting, weakness, excessive thirst or less urination, dizziness, contact a doctor immediately.
