New Delhi, October 11 (IANS). There are many organs in our body, which work to remove toxic substances from the body. The liver, skin and lymph glands work to detoxify the body, but the kidneys work to filter the blood.
Kidneys work as a filter in the body, which cleans 150 liters of blood every day. Apart from this, it balances calcium, phosphorus and water in the body, balances hormones, balances the pH of blood and absorbs vitamin D.
In Ayurveda, kidney has been called Vrikka, which removes all the toxic substances from the body through urine. If the kidneys stop working properly then the entire body will become a dustbin and there will be a risk of fatal diseases in the body. Kidneys affect our overall health. If there is a problem in this, it can lead to stones, chronic kidney disease, urine infection and swelling in the kidneys.
There are many remedies written in Ayurveda to repair the kidneys. Gorukh, which is called a natural diuretic, is considered most beneficial for the kidneys. Gorukh has anti-inflammatory and stone dissolving properties. Consuming it provides relief from problems like burning sensation during urination and stones. Lemon and honey are also healthy for kidneys. Consuming lemon and honey in lukewarm water in the morning improves kidney functioning and filters the kidneys well.
Apart from this, Amla can also be consumed, which is good not only for the kidneys but also for the stomach.
Amla contains Vitamin C, which works to reduce oxidative stress of the kidneys. Consuming coconut water daily is good for kidneys. Coconut water is a naturally detox water, which cleanses both kidneys and stomach.
Apart from this, getting complete sleep, avoiding excess salt and oily foods, drinking about 8 glasses of water daily and drinking lukewarm water on an empty stomach in the morning is good for the kidneys. Kidney age can also be increased by yoga. For this, Kapalbhati, Pawanmuktasana and Bhujansana increase blood circulation in the kidneys.
