Kidney Stone: Kidney is the most important part of our body. Because the blood running in the body is filtered through the kidneys and moves forward. Our kidneys filter the blood and remove waste products from the blood and pass them through the ureters to the bladder, which are passed out through urine. But when the amount of waste materials in the blood increases, then the kidney is not able to filter it completely and these particles take the shape of growing stone pieces. This is called kidney stone.
One of the main causes of kidney stones is our irregular lifestyle. Due to stones, a person experiences unbearable pain. Its symptoms include severe pain during urination, loss of appetite, nausea, frequent toilet visits. Some food items harm us during stones. That’s why we should distance ourselves from them.
Spinach: If you have a stone problem, then keep a distance from spinach. Spinach contains oxalate which accumulates calcium in the blood and the kidneys cannot filter it. Because of this, it is not able to get out of the body through urine. In such a situation, if you already have a stone problem and you are consuming spinach, then it can worsen the situation.
Chocolate: Stone patients should stay away from eating chocolate as it contains oxalate. Its consumption can make the size of the stone bigger, which can increase the problem. Apart from this, the patient of stone should reduce the consumption of tomatoes, salt and tea. They should drink more and more water and stay away from cold drinks.
Cut down on: Consuming red meat, chicken, fish which contain protein, increases the amount of uric acid in our body. If we consume animal protein in excess quantity, then it reduces the chemical called citrate from our urine and the problem of stones arises. Therefore, stay away from it and instead of animal protein, use plant protein like tofu, Greek yogurt, dairy products etc.
Avoid these: According to health experts, food items that contain oxalate cause stones, so the consumption of such foods should be avoided if there is a problem of stones. Consumption of soybean, parsley, soy milk, chikoo, cashew, tomato, spinach, amaranth, grapes (black), urad, gram, nuts (almonds, walnuts, cashews, peanuts, amla, chocolate, pumpkin, dried beans and raw rice etc. should avoid.
