New Delhi, February 6 (IANS). Every part of the body has its own importance in Ayurveda. In this episode, the navel has been described as the center of energy. During pregnancy, the navel is the point from which both the mother and the baby get nutrition. It is important in maintaining the health of people of every age. If oil is applied daily in the navel, it helps in improving digestion, skin, sleep and mental balance. Both science and Ayurveda believe that there are hundreds of nerves and blood vessels connected around the navel, so applying oil here is like nourishing the entire body.

Applying oil in the navel daily helps in keeping the body balanced from within. It has many benefits, which include strengthening the digestive system, reducing stomach bloating or gas problems, improving metabolism, and reducing mental stress. Additionally, it corrects hormonal imbalance and improves sleep quality. It is very important to choose the right oil because every oil has its own specialty.

Applying mustard oil in the navel strengthens the digestive system. It is helpful in reducing bloating, gas and heaviness in the stomach. This oil is especially beneficial in cold weather or for people who have more Kapha nature.
