New Delhi, April 8 (IANS). With the arrival of summer it becomes very important to take care of the skin. Skin demands more care in summer season as compared to winter, but from skin protection to bad smell of sweat, it becomes a common problem in summer.
People use deodorants and perfumes to avoid sweating, but these give temporary results and not the right balance. To get rid of smelly sweat in summer, Ayurveda emphasizes on balance inside the body and not on external remedies.
Ayurveda considers the foul smell of sweat to be an imbalance of Kapha and Vata. Imbalance of Kapha and Vata leads to excessive sweating and heat creates an environment for bacteria to grow. In such a situation, there is a strong foul smell from the body, due to which even going out becomes embarrassing. In such a situation, it is more important to first clean the body from inside. First let us know why this happens.
In Ayurveda it has been linked to food and drink. Eating too much fried, spicy, spicy food during summers and drinking less water are the main reasons behind this. This causes hormonal imbalance. Along with this, instead of wearing cotton clothes in summer, people use synthetic clothes more, which generate heat in the body as soon as they come in contact with sunlight and not only increase sweating, but it also increases the chances of acne and heat rash.
Now the question is what to do. For this, start the day with lukewarm water. If possible, drink fennel water in the morning. Its effect is cooling and it also helps in cleansing the stomach. Along with this, consume rose water once a day. This provides coolness to body and mind. To keep the body cool, definitely drink coconut water. Coconut water increases the body’s immunity and also helps in keeping the stomach cool. Mix roasted cumin seeds with it and take buttermilk in the afternoon. This prevents heatstroke in summer and the body feels cool.
Apart from internal coolness, it is important to keep the body clean from outside also. For this, take bath with neem leaves in summer. It helps in reducing bacteria. If Neem tree is not available nearby, then taking bath mixed with alum will also reduce bacteria. To protect yourself from sunlight and foul smell, apply sandalwood and rose water paste on the body. This will help in cooling the body as well as making it fragrant.
