PM Modi talks to girls who have been vaccinated against HPV, appeals to spread awareness

New Delhi, February 28 (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched the nationwide HPV vaccination campaign from Ajmer, calling it an important step towards empowering India’s ‘nari shakti’ and improving the health of mothers and daughters. During this, the Prime Minister also talked to the girls.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also shared a video of his conversation with girls on social media platform X. PM Modi wrote that after the launch of the HPV vaccination campaign against cervical cancer, I talked to young friends who had got vaccinated. This is a decisive step towards protecting the health of our daughters and mothers.

In the video, PM Modi asked information related to vaccination and cervical cancer from a young woman who had been vaccinated. The girl replied. After this he asked another girl, what question did you ask the doctor who was vaccinating you? To this the girl replied that I asked about cervical cancer. A large number of women are dying due to this disease. This vaccine is being administered to girls aged 14 to 15 years. This vaccine protects us.

PM Modi asked the girl whether anyone stopped you? No one said that let other people get this vaccine first, then get it done? To this the girl replied that no, it is not so. PM Modi asked whether you will tell other people about this vaccination? The girl said that we will tell other people about this also.

PM Modi also asked the girls whether they have information about this vaccination? How will you guys help me? Will you give information about this vaccination to girls in localities, villages, schools etc.? The girls agreed to this. She urged the girls to inspire other girls to get vaccinated.

He described the vaccinated girls as the brand ambassadors of this campaign with the aim of motivating other girls to get vaccinated.
