Jaipur, June 22 (IANS). A high-level investigation has been ordered after the health of eight women deteriorated after caesarean delivery at Paota District Hospital in Jodhpur. The incident has raised concerns over health standards and is facing criticism from the opposition.

The incident occurred on June 20, when eight women who underwent cesarean delivery at the hospital developed serious health problems soon after the operation. According to officials, her condition deteriorated soon after delivery, requiring immediate medical intervention.

Senior Congress leader Sachin Pilot expressed concern over the incident and criticized the BJP-led state government over the poor state of Rajasthan’s health system.

Meanwhile, Jodhpur District Collector Alok Ranjan inspected Paota District Hospital and reviewed the medical arrangements there. He directed the officials that there should not be any negligence in the care of the patients and all necessary medical facilities should be provided to them on priority basis.
