New Delhi, March 24 (IANS). Nowadays urine infection is becoming a common problem among women. If it is ignored, it can also harm the kidneys. Medical research suggests that this is due to wrong lifestyle, eating habits and lack of cleanliness. In such a situation, it becomes very important to understand this problem and prevent it in time.

According to experts, the biggest reason for frequent urine infections is the lack of good bacteria in the body. Women have a natural bacterial balance in their bodies, which helps protect against infection. But when this balance gets disturbed, harmful bacteria start growing rapidly and the risk of infection increases.

Apart from this, drinking less water, stopping urination for a long time and not taking proper care of personal hygiene also increases this problem.

Experts believe that probiotics can prove to be very helpful in avoiding this problem. Probiotics are nutrients that increase the number of good bacteria in the body. These bacteria strengthen the protection of the urinary tract and prevent the growth of harmful bacteria. Additionally, they also help in reducing inflammation in the body, thereby providing relief from problems like burning sensation and pain.

According to medical studies, probiotics strengthen the body’s epithelial barrier. This barrier prevents external bacteria from entering the body. When this protective layer becomes weak, the infection starts spreading quickly. In such a situation, probiotics strengthen this barrier and enhance the body’s natural defenses.

Along with this, urine infection can be avoided to a great extent by adopting right habits. The most important thing is to drink adequate amount of water, due to which the dangerous bacteria present inside the body keep coming out through urine. Apart from this, it is very important to take care of personal hygiene. Holding urine for a long time also increases this problem, so it is important to pass urine from time to time.

Change in diet also helps in reducing this problem. Including curd, buttermilk and other fermented foods in the diet increases the good bacteria in the body, which reduces the risk of infection. This is why doctors also recommend taking probiotic foods regularly.
