New Delhi, June 12 (IANS). Fitness and health platform Fitter (FITTR) on Friday announced that Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma has now become an investor and equity partner of the company. Earlier, he was associated with the company as its first brand ambassador. However, the company has not disclosed the amount of investment.
According to Fitter, the partnership is based on the shared objective of promoting sustainable health habits, regularity and conscious lifestyle, with the aim of making fitness and disease prevention healthcare services accessible to more people.
The company said that before deciding to become an investor, Rohit Sharma spent several months in talks with the company’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jitendra Chowksey and the leadership team. During this time, he deeply understood the company’s business, future development plans and its broader objective.
Jitendra Chouksey, Founder and CEO of Fitter, said that lifestyle related health problems are increasing rapidly in the world and now people need to focus again on the basics like exercise, balanced nutrition and regularity.
He said, “At Fitter, we have always believed that there are no shortcuts to good health. Rohit not only shares this philosophy, but also adopts it in his life. We are glad that our conversation has now reached to bring him on board as an investor and partner.”
Rohit Sharma said that he has taken this decision after closely studying the business model and future prospects of the company.
