Strengthens muscles and relieves neck and back pain - brachial strength developer

New Delhi, February 13 (IANS). Irregular lifestyle plays an important role in giving rise to many mental and physical problems. However, relief can be found by including yoga in daily routine. The name of one such Yoga Kriya is Skandha and Bahumoola-Shakti-Vikasak.

Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga has promoted Skandha and Bahumula-Shakti-Vikasak Kriya as subtle exercises. This yoga exercise is specifically designed to strengthen the muscles of the shoulders, brachii and upper body.

According to experts, regular practice of this activity benefits the entire body and this activity strengthens the muscles. This increases flexibility in the upper back, neck and shoulders, reduces stress and provides relaxation. The core (abdominal muscles), glutes (buttocks) and quadriceps (front thigh muscles) remain active for a longer period of time during the exercise, which improves the body’s balance and stability. It provides great relief from shoulder pain, neck disorders and back problems. Shoulders become beautiful, shapely and strong.

This exercise is easy and can be done easily at home. Regular exercise improves posture, relieves stress and increases upper body strength.

To practice this, stand straight in Tadasana pose. Place your chin on your chest and close the fists of both your hands. After this, while inhaling, raise the shoulders towards the ears and hold for at least 3 seconds, then while exhaling, bring the shoulders down. Repeat this 5 to 10 times. Keep the pace slow and controlled.

Yoga experts say that this activity provides mental peace along with physical strength. By adopting this practice of yoga, you can get relief from everyday fatigue and stiffness of shoulders.
