New Delhi, February 11 (IANS). After the age of 30, if changes are made in the timing of eating and sleeping, then more than half of the diseases in the body automatically reduce.
For good health, it is said that after 30, the amount of sweets and salt in the diet should be reduced to half, but it is very difficult for everyone to do this. Whether it is about normal people or people suffering from diabetes, today we have brought information about such superfoods which can control the amount of sugar in the blood.
In Ayurveda, diet is also considered medicine. If diet is balanced then life is also balanced. All the properties to control diabetes or to avoid future diabetes problems are present in the diet. First comes fenugreek seeds and oats. Both fenugreek seeds and oats help in controlling diabetes and balancing insulin resistance. Both contain glucomannan and beta-glucan which are soluble fibers and do not allow the blood sugar level to increase.
The second one is cinnamon and bitter gourd. Both cinnamon and bitter gourd are a part of Indian kitchen. To prevent diabetes, bitter gourd should be consumed three times a week and cinnamon can be used in food and in drinking water on an empty stomach in the morning. Bitter gourd and cinnamon activate the cells, so that the cells are able to use glucose properly.
The third is pulses, flaxseed, sattu, and isabgol. All these things are easily available in the kitchen, it is just important to make them a part of your diet. All of these are rich in magnesium, omega-3, and fiber, and they increase insulin sensitivity. Fourth is consumption of fruits. The diet is complete only when one fruit is consumed during the day. Patients suffering from diabetes should consume guava, apple and pear because these fruits are low glycemic index fruits which do not allow the sugar to rise rapidly. Apart from this, there is a need to make many changes in the daily routine, like walking for 30 minutes daily, light exercise, distance from processed food and sweet drinks and finally complete sleep.
