New Delhi, 12 September (IANS). Nature has given us many precious gifts, of which the Sun is the most important. The rays of the sun are also a scientific and spiritual way to balance the body, mind and soul. In Ayurveda, taking sun energy i.e. incense is considered very important and beneficial.
The rays of the sun are very important for the health of the human body. Especially, vitamin D received from the rays of the sun has been considered as nectar for life in both Ayurveda and modern medicine. Vitamin D is also called ‘Sunshine Vitamin’, as its most impressive and natural sources are the rays of the sun.
When the sunlight occurs on the skin, vitamin D3 is formed by a particular process in the body, which is extremely beneficial for bones, muscles and immune systems.
Vitamin D is helpful in the absorption of calcium and phosphorus in the body. This makes bones strong and prevents diseases like osteoporosis, rickets. This is especially necessary for children’s development and older. Vitamin D activates the body’s immune system, increasing the strength of fighting viral and bacterial infections.
The rays of the sun fall on the skin, the pores are opened and the skin cleanses. It improves blood circulation and toxic elements come out of the body. Also, light sunlight on the skin acts as a natural curative.
Taking incense in Ayurveda is considered extremely essential not only for physical but also mental and spiritual health. Sitting in light sunlight regularly improves mood and maintains mental energy.
Incense from 7 am to 9 am is considered to be the most suitable. However, excess sunlight can cause damage to the skin, so do not stay in the sun for long.
