New Delhi, February 20 (IANS). Facial glow has become dependent on expensive creams, serums and facials in the markets. Everyone wants superficial beauty, but many people know that if the skin is nourished from within then there will be no need for expensive products. This is accepted by both science and Ayurveda.

The products available in the market give temporary results, but the nutrients hidden in the home plate can make the skin glow like gold.

It is believed in Ayurveda that lack of nutrition and tiredness are first visible on the face. Lack of nutrition causes dryness, wrinkles, blemishes, pigmentation and premature aging. To deal with any skin related problem, whether women or men, usually take the help of a doctor, but very few people know that the doctor is present in our kitchen itself.

There is a direct relation between the food present in the kitchen and our skin. Skin cells are constantly being broken down and rebuilt. Cells require vitamins, minerals, healthy fats and proteins for repair, which are not available from any product but from the plate at home.

First let’s talk about Vitamin C, which revitalizes cells and reduces the symptoms of ageing. To get adequate amount of Vitamin C, Amla, lemonade, orange, sweet lime, papaya, capsicum, and broccoli can be consumed. Diets rich in Vitamin C help reduce dark spots and increase collagen production in the skin.

Secondly, Omega-3 fatty acids are essential for the skin, which reduces swelling on the face and keeps the face hydrated. For this, include flax seeds, walnuts, chia seeds and fatty fish in your diet.

Antioxidants come third. Antioxidants protect the skin from free radicals, help repair the skin and also slow down the speed of wrinkles. For this, green tea, tomato, beetroot, pomegranate and green leafy vegetables should be included in the diet.

At number four comes protein, which is very important for the formation of cells. Protein is also important for nails and hair. For this, pulses, soybean, gram, cheese, curd, egg and tofu should be included in the diet.
