New Delhi, January 10 (IANS). Ayurveda has many priceless treasures full of medicinal properties, which have been used for centuries in the treatment of various diseases. Many herbs in this have been considered as Sanjeevani. Among these, there is one such grass, which may look ordinary, but due to its properties, it holds a special place in Ayurveda and is being used as a medicine for a long time.
We are talking about Changeri grass. This grass is easily found around us, but most people are unaware of its medicinal properties. According to Ayurveda, Changeri grass is considered beneficial in everything from heart related diseases to skin problems and is helpful in keeping the body healthy in many ways.
Changeri grass is very beneficial and full of medicinal properties, which grows on its own in empty places as well as in pots. It is also found in the fields, but most people throw it away considering it to be a weed because they do not recognize the grass. This grass has three leaves in appearance, whose shape is also heart shaped and small yellow colored flowers also appear on it. “Changeri grass” has been described as very useful in Ayurveda. In Charak Samhita and Sushruta Samhita, complete information about Changeri is given, how and on whom it can be used.
It is considered very important for the digestive system. Use of Changeri provides relief from problems like stomach ache, gas, indigestion and piles and it also controls the bad bacteria in the intestines. Changeri grass is also beneficial for the heart as it contains potassium, calcium, vitamin C, carotene and oxalate which help in keeping the heart healthy. These prevent fat from accumulating on the blood arteries and also help in reducing inflammation.
Changeri is beneficial in many skin problems. If acne occurs frequently on the face, then Changeri grass paste is beneficial because it has anti-inflammatory, antifungal, and antibacterial properties, which prevent infection. The problem of leucorrhoea (white discharge) is seen in most women. The problem of leucorrhoea persists even after taking medicine and due to this the bones gradually become weak. Consumption of juice of changeri leaves will be beneficial in leucorrhoea. It works to strengthen bones and also provides relief from back pain.
Changeri is rich in Vitamin C, and due to the presence of Vitamin C and antioxidants, Changeri helps in strengthening the immune system. Apart from this, Changeri is beneficial for inflammation, joint pain, weight control and gums.
