Our national flag is made of three colors – saffron, white and green. These colors not only arouse the feeling of patriotism but also inspire a healthy lifestyle.

These colors teach us to stay away from stress, remain happy and continuously move towards our goals. It also explains that a balanced diet rich in nutrition is the foundation of a healthy and strong life. The role of every citizen is important in nation building and for this it is most important for the citizens to remain healthy. Experts believe that adopting the tricolor diet keeps both body and mind healthy and active.

Saffron colour: Pulses (like gram, kidney beans, pigeon pea), soya chunks or eggs – these are rich in protein.

White colour: Rice, roti, curd or milk products – these provide energy.

Green colour: Spinach, fenugreek, green gram, mustard greens or other green vegetables – these provide vitamins and minerals.

This food is beneficial for both children and adults. Experts recommend that children should eat it at least 3 times a day and 2-3 times a day. With this, nutrition remains balanced and health remains strong.

The brightly colored fruits are rich in vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants. These strengthen the immune system, protect cells from free radicals and reduce risks like stroke.

Saffron (orange) colored fruits like orange, peach, apricot, mango, papaya and pulses are rich in nutrients. Fruits are rich in vitamin C, vitamin A and potassium. These boost the immune system and help in improving eyesight.
